The rate of weight loss on the 800 calorie HCG diet, as with all other diets, depends on the age and gender of the patient, their starting weight, recent weight loss attempts, and medical conditions. It’s higher in younger males with large amounts of weight to lose and slower in older, post menopausal women with less weight to lose.

800 Calorie HCG Meal Plan – Great Food Choices
The 800 Calorie HCG Diet food plan is based on food choices that have been tested in thousands of patients in my private practice in Miami, FL. We carefully evaluate every low-calorie product that has little to no sugar and no fat to determine if it is suitable for the HCG Diet. In doing so, we have added many products that are very low-calorie, have little to no sugar or carbs, and very little fat. The tremendous amount of food options make following the food plan and losing weight on my HCG diet a great experience for my patients.
Each new food selection follows the principles of Dr. Simeons’ original protocol – lean protein, minimal fat and minimal sugar. We use the “2+2″ rule for selecting prepared foods that have both sugar and fat. Assuming the amount of calories are appropriate, foods that fit the 2+2 rule must have 2 grams of sugar or less and 2 grams of fat or less. When either value is slightly higher (e.g. 2.5 grams of sugar), the total should still be less than 4.

How much weight will I lose on the 800 Calorie HCG Diet?
The average weight loss is 0.5 to 2 pounds per day. It is important to be aware that this does NOT mean that you will lose 1-2 pounds every day. It is very common to lose a few ounces one day and 2 pounds the next day. We consider your average weight loss at the END of your round of HCG treatment. Therefore, don’t be discouraged if you are not losing 1-2 pounds per day. It will all average out at the end. Weight loss with HCG injections is as much as 20% higher, but is more variable than the sublingual drops.
To get these types of results, you need to follow the 800 Calorie HCG Diet Plan carefully. The plan eliminates bread, cereal, rice, pasta, potatoes, and black and red beans from your diet. Ultra low carb crackers and wraps are permitted. Watch the portions of protein, especially beef. Avoid cooking oils, nuts, olive oils, and dairy products except those listed on the food menu. Unlimited vegetables and 3 fruits a day (with a few limits) are also available along with many no sugar snacks.
What is HCG?
The hormone HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) is the basis of the diet. You take it as drops or pellets under the tongue, or by daily injection. The body naturally produces the HCG hormone. It has many functions and doctors use it to treat a variety of conditions. HCG normally works in pregnant women to metabolize fat and use it as energy for both mother and fetus. This acts as a failsafe mechanism when energy the mother’s body needs energy immediately. Women may experience very high levels during pregnancy with no adverse affects. It is also present in males, albeit in much lower quantities.

After 40 years of helping patients lose weight, I understand that everyone’s metabolism is different. A successful weight loss program depends on a number of factors, including age and medical situation.
When you visit my office for your consultation, I will review your medical history and weight loss goals. If we decide the HCG diet is the best for you, I select the right type of HCG preparation based on your age, gender, metabolism, medical problems, weight loss needs, and prior HCG use. This can include HCG preparations or sublingual drops fortified with amino acids, African Mango and/or Raspberry Ketones to increase metabolism. Since the HCG diet contains moderate protein and almost no sugar or fat, it is often a great fit for diabetics and people with hypertension, thyroid problems and controlled heart disease.
Is HCG Safe?
The idea of HCG as part of a diet plan is over 60 years old, invented by Dr. Simeons in 1954. Since then, millions of people all over the world have used HCG in many forms with no safety issues reported.
Side effects of HCG diet are almost non-existent. They are not much different from any other low calorie diet – especially when the dieter follows the HCG protocols properly. They include episodes of weakness and low blood sugar (often seen when skipping meals), constipation, and lack of energy due to the substantial reduction in sugar. All of these feelings are transient, generally subsiding after a week or two. Having a high-protein snack and not skipping meals can eliminate almost all of them. Drinking water and adding some fiber can relieve the constipation. After treating thousands of people, I have seen almost no side effects from my HCG Protocol. That is much better than prescription diet medication or even over-the-counter (or internet) diet supplements!
Both men and women can use with equal safety and effectiveness. Men do not gain any female characteristics. HCG is only a pregnancy hormone protecting the baby – it has nothing to do with menstruation, breast, or hair development. In fact, men lose weight much faster on HCG than women!
