Why can&#8217;t I just reduce my calories? Can&#8217;t I lose just as much without the HCG?<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Here is is what happens on very low carb diets from a recent large study<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"margin: 0px 20px 0px 1.5em;\">Constant Hunger<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin: 0px 20px 0px 1.5em;\">Being cold<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin: 0px 20px 0px 1.5em;\">Fatigued and sleepy all day<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin: 0px 20px 0px 1.5em;\">Metabolism decreased by 30%. Making the actual reduction in weight slow down<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin: 0px 20px 0px 1.5em;\">Anemia and very low blood sugars<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin: 0px 20px 0px 1.5em;\">Inability to concentrate<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin: 0px 20px 0px 1.5em;\">Marked weakness during physical activity.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin: 0px 20px 0px 1.5em;\">Sex interest was markedly decreased.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin: 0px 20px 0px 1.5em;\">Marked reduction in physical activity<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>[clear]<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-2004\" src=\"https:\/\/bestbuyhcg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/startavtiondiets.jpg\" alt=\"starvation diets\" width=\"241\" height=\"207\" \/>The answer is clearly NO, here is a summary from one of the largest controlled weight loss studies. Subjects were in a\u00a0hospital-laboratory so the exact amount of exercise and food was known. Physicians at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/11103647\">US Nutrition laboratory<\/a> put 100 men a 900-1100 calorie diet with the intention of reducing their weight by 10% a month. All food groups were included. Calories were reduced by serving very small portions. For some men, this was almost a starvation diet. Their diet would be adjusted to maintain this weight loss for another two months. Subjects lost the weight but complained of\u00a0multiple symptoms.<\/p>\n<p><strong>But more important, look what happened when the low carb diets were over:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>After the diet, every one of the subjects experienced excess eating and in less than 2 weeks they all had regained their weight loss. In almost every instance the subjects gained weight equal to or more than the starting weight!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This report is typical of millions of other dieters who attempt to lose weight without concentrating on the carbs,\u00a0protein, fat and ignoring the metabolism. Hunger was literally uncontrollable in these semi-starvation studies. More important the reduction in food led to a disproportionate reduction in energy expenditure and metabolic\u00a0activity.<\/p>\n<p>The human body is constructed to maintain its weight&#8211;resisting both weight gain and weight loss so that the obese remain obese and the thin remain thin.\u00a0Dr<a href=\"https:\/\/academic.oup.com\/jcem\/article-abstract\/73\/6\/1153\/2653421\"> Jules Hirsch<\/a>\u00a0from the Rockefeller University writes, &#8220;Of all the damn unsuccessful treatments, the treatment of weight reduction by diet for obese people just doesn&#8217;t seem to work.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Why do I Need HCG?
