I had been unemployed for more than 2 years and trying to find a job was real hard. I had posted resumes, had interviews, went to job fairs only to be rejected time and time again. I was more qualified than most of the people that were accepted – a college degree and 10 years experience in accounting. Finally, after the last interview, I asked the interviewer why I was having such trouble getting a job and she said, frankly my dear you weight played a role. I was simply flabbergasted. My weight? I was not applying for a job as a stage dancer, waitress or bartender, but an accountant. I decided to see a psychologist who specialized in this problem and soon in found out the truth – my height of 5 feet and weight of 350 lbs was certainly interring with ability to get a job. My psychologist explained that people are prejudiced to fat people, they think they are lazy and not very smart. In an office setting they would rather hire the thin rather than the fat person. What a sad story. After a few sessions, I decided I could not fight the “fat” prejudice, I just need to lose weight. I turned to Dr Lipman’s HCG diet. I have lost an amazing 40 lbs. in the first month on the program and I feel really great. My confidence is better and I am ready to go and get that job. I have a ways to go, but I know I can do it.
