Dr. Richard L. Lipman, M.D. is an Endocrinologist, Internist, and weight loss specialist based in Miami, FL. If you guys follow me and my sister on Facebook you’ll know that we are doing another round and this time we are using Dr. Richard Lipman’s new 800 calorie HCG protocol. Let me tell you our stats first before I get into some of the information in the book. Five days, I have released 12 lbs. Seven days, she has released 14 lbs…

Now, a lot of that stuff is mentioned in Dr. Simeons but guess what, we can’t have that stuff until we’re in P3 or P4. I have nothing against Dr Simeons but like me and I’m sure a lot of other you guys, it was hard to stick to the protocol because we were limited to just certain foods. But then that Dr. Lipman mentioned his book – it makes a lot of sense and the reason why a lot of those things wasn’t mentioned in Dr. Simeons is because back in those days those things wasn’t around.

We can have cheese, bread, we can have sugar free yogurts and jello and pudding – chocolate pudding at that – and also some sugar free snacks. But you think about it, we’ve been eating like this for so long that’s the reason why we gained this weight. So we switch to Dr Simeon, we start eating clean, it’s pretty much that we lose the weight but we start craving those things at the end because our body is used to it. So if you are introducing these things still while you in P2 your body does not go into shock, it doesn’t go to, “I’m craving this, I’m craving that,” so if you crave it’s stuff you want, you know what I mean?

So that calls us to cheat while we on P2. I have not cheated, not one time, since I’ve been on this, okay? I don’t even have the desire to cheat. My sister… she don’t have a desire to cheat because you are not deprived of things. He also mentioned certain types of alcohol that we can have. He shows you how to portion it out, he shows you how to read on the back of the label. When you pick out cheese that you want look for certain things on the back. For instance, for the fat content, nothing more than 4% fat… The laughing cow cheese is what I use. I don’t crave cheese while I’m on P2. He tells you to look on the back for the sugar intake, nothing more than 2 grams. I do not crave sugars.

In my job, I patrol the Florida Turnpike and end up sitting in my car and cruiser for more than 12 hours a day! When I first met Dr. Lipman I weighed more than 250 lbs and was gaining 30 lbs a year. Some of the weight gain was due to my change in assignment and the need to commute over 60 miles one way to get to my new station.

I had to stop working out because I simply did not have the time. Mandatory overtime did not help. Dr. Lipman asked me first to describe my eating habits. Amazing! I spent two years and all this money on expensive fad diets and personal trainers. Nothing was working for me. At our first meeting, Dr. Lipman explained the basic numbers (one pound of fat = 3,500 calories; cut by 1,000 calories per day to loose 2 pounds per week) to me. It seems so obvious now, but I was simply eating too much (like most Americans) food for my height and weight. Even though what I was eating was "healthy" food; it was just too much, and exercising just made me more hungry. He is straight forward and to the point on weight loss. Applying the simple math and using weight loss pills (no negative side effects for me), I lost over 25 pounds in about 4 months, went from 5'1 weighing 140 pounds (size 8) to 115 (size 4/2), without working out! Now that I understand more about proper portions and what it takes to feel full (10g of protein+ / low sugar / low calorie), I've kept the weight off and will continue to recommend Dr. Lipman to everyone that I know. I met my weight loss goal, and I couldn't be happier!!! Follow Dr. Lipman's advice and you WILL get to your weight loss goal. Seriously you will just start shedding the pounds!!

Dr. Lipman has a vast amount of knowledge and experience on directing you in achieving your weight goal. He is very detailed in explaining your personal food plan. Not only does Dr. Lipman make you feel welcome, but his staff is always pleasant upon your arrival. You always feel encouraged when you leave. I would highly recommend.

Dr. Lipman is the best. He is kind, patient,nonjudgmental and honest. He uses a combination of diet, education, exercise and medication that fits in your lifestyle. You will lose weight and maintain the weight with him. He takes the journey with you. Your success is his too. I have recommended him to all of my friends with weight issues. His office staff is great.
